Not that long ago I have posted some pictures of this EXTRAORDINARY garden, at that time I had no idea I would be visiting it today as this trip was not expected.
It took French painter Jacques Majorelle (1886-1962) forty years of passion and dedication to create this enchanting place in the heart of the “Ochre City”. Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé bought the Jardin Majorelle in 1980 and saved it from falling victim to a hotel complex. The new owners decided to live in the Villa Bou Saf Saf, which they renamed Villa Oasis, and undertook the restoration of the garden in order to “make the Jardin Majorelle become the most beautiful garden – by respecting the vision of Jacques Majorelle.”
Yves Saint Laurent used to say that he was able to find an unlimited source of inspiration because of the Jardin Majorelle, and that he dreamt many times about its unique colours.
So here I am, under the sharp sun and 38° heat walking around and trying to capture as much as possible. This might be one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, from the colors the palm trees, the cactuses all in contrast with the blue Klein was just breathtaking. It is a MUST to visit while staying in Marrakech !
I am wearing a Zara high waisted short, belt, tee-shirt and hat with and H&M shirt and K jacques sandals here.
Marhaba ! As you can see I am finally on holidays… In Marrakech ! I have never been to Morocco before and there is nothing I love more then discovering a new city so I am quite excited !
Those pictures were taken this morning while waiting for our delicious breakfast on the roof of the riad. I am wearing a Mango dress (last year) Zara hat in stores now, K Jacques sandals here.
